DJ Zeph's Sunset Scavenger LP from 2004 had to be renamed to Sunset Salvage after the SF garbage with the same name complained. The album cover had to be changed too. I'm glad I copped the OG LP before it was changed. But I did sleep on the OG Coup LP Party Music with the twin tyowers blowing up with a release date that predates 9/11.
Here is Boots Riley from the Coup on the second track from DJ Zeph's Sunset Scavenger
Tune: Shake it on Down by DJ Zeph feat. Boots Riley
Boots has a new project with the guitarist from Rage Aginst the Machine called the Street Sweeper Social Club and they have a new EP that is out today called The Ghetto Blaster.
DJ Zeph has a recently released project called Batidas Latinas check the tracks here. cop the mix here.

I wonder if the "bike kitchen" will be a new home or an exstension of the Bike Kitchen in the Mission on Florida Street, the cooperative, do-it-yourself bike repair shop or will it be a kitchen powered by bikes ala Rock The Bike?

One reason to subscribe to "The Heartbeat" is to get the inside scoop on the SF food scene.
Here is the news from this mornings newsletter:
For one night only, San Francisco's Hapa Ramen will be hustling its bowls of gold from our 24th & Valencia street pop-up Ramen house.
We're not leaking the specifics just yet, but if they were to leak, they'd probably taste like miso, pork and sea vegetables with a dash of izakaya-style Japanese food (which will also be on the menu, provided by ours truly, Kitchenette).
Oh, and we're bringing in sake. Lots of sake.
For more information, email us at info@heartsf.com
You can also check out exclusive pictures from the last Outside In event that was held at Heart on the "Heartbeat"
The next Outside In event will be on June 26th in The Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, so Mark your calendar.
You will be able to try a slice of pie from PieTisserie at the next Outside In. You can just order through the Provencial Pie Window.
