Sushi

Country Station is the wakiest sushi house in SF.
(Mission Street between 17th and 18th)
It's like a psychadelic Japanese roadside dhaba.

Food, folks, and fun!
When the mariachis pop in, the staff turns down the Led Zeppelin and finds makeshift percussion instruments to accompany the musicians.

The Sushi is pretty good too!
-The famous "Thunder Roll"

-Sushi chefs in action

We were inspired to make our own sushi at home w/ the help of our good pal Nori.

はじめまして、連絡ください~~。-These sushi chefs are not playing around
First they knock out the mise en place.

Then they lay out the spred.

Chopsticks?

Nori and his sushi chefs bust out Gyozas too.

-It takes a very skilled hand to do it rightJust goes to show, like all food, the best food is home cookin'
But when we do go out for sushi the wakiest may be Country Station but the most pure and tastey sushi is just a few doors down, also on Mission Street, Minako Organic Japanese Cuisine at 2154 Mission St.
-here are a few pics from last year's March 4th bday party at Minako, but expect a complete Minako posting this spring on Rani and Raja.
-Our gobo dish was inspired by Minako.
